APA Educational Scholars Program

Are you interested in educational scholarship, building a network of educational colleagues or working with national leaders in pediatric education?

The Educational Scholars Program is excited to announce the next cohort of its scholars. Through a rigorous peer-reviewed process, we accepted 35 medical educators into the program to begin in May 2019. The scholars originate 19 states and 28 institutions. Each scholar has chosen a local mentor to assist them in completing a scholarly capstone project. They also have been paired with a volunteer national advisor, with experience in educational scholarship, to provide career mentoring. The program wishes to thank both the mentors and advisors for their efforts to assist the scholars.

The ESP is a 3-year national faculty development program for academic pediatric educators who wish to build their skills in educational scholarship and leadership. The program aims to teach scholars to develop, implement, evaluate and disseminate educational interventions and other types of educational scholarship. For more information, contact us at ESP@academicpeds.org,  or follow us on twitter at #BeAScholarESP.

We are proud of our 16 scholars who graduated at PAS 2018 after completion of the program requirements and successful dissemination of their educational scholarship.
We would like to thank Lindsey Lane, MD for her years of service to ESP as a faculty advisor, Cohort leader, ISM facilitator, Chair of Curriculum Committee and Co-Director of the program. We will miss her and wish her best of luck in her retirement.
