SIG purpose/mission:
To provide ongoing mentoring, guidance, support, and encouragement to all academic fellows, as a forum to connect and engage with each other, and to help fellows transition from fellows to junior faculty.

Current SIG goals:
1) Provide mentorship between faculty and fellows 
2) Provide support and mentorship between fellows  
3) Ensure fellows are aware of all the opportunities that exist within the APA and how to access them  
4) Help to establish programming during PAS and through the APA that will helpful to the growth and development of fellows

Annual summary:
1) Planned and executed a workshop during PAS about telemedicine  
2) Hosted an academic fellows’ luncheon during PAS that included a mentored abstract review 
3) Started a fellows' listserv for help with research and other ongoing projects
